Eastside Culture Crawl Nov. 15-17th

This annual event is one of the most well attended arts events in the city.  Don't miss out.  There are over 400 artists opening their studios the weekend of November 15-17th.

You can find my studio at 108-1000 Parker street off the parking lot of the main entrance to the building.  Studio 108 is accessible from the outside of the building (only 4 steps).  come check out the amazing artists.  I will be opening my studio for a preview on Thursday November 14th. from 6-9 pm.  This is a good opportunity to see my latest work without combating the crowds.

My new works are called Coastal Collages.  They are mixed media paintings inspired by Gambier Island which I know and love so well.

CELEBRATING AFRICAN GRANDMOTHERS: Heroes of the Continent

Royal City Gogos ART Show May 9th - 12, 2013 is on view at River Market at New Westminster Quay.

This exhibition is a fund raiser for Stephen Lewis Foundation grandmother to grandmother Campaign.  Without almost no support grandmothers have stepped forward to care for millions of children orphaned by AIDS, sometimes as many as 10-15 in one household.  They display astonishing reserves of love, courage and emotional resilience even while grieving the loss of their own adult children.

I am proud to be part of this wonderful show which goes on tour and grandmother groups across Western Canada will host this show over the next year.  The show returns to New Westminster in time to celebrate International Women's Day 2014 with a gala dinner and auction on March 7th.

My painting is called:  CRADLEING ARMS OF AFRICA.  24x30 mixed media collage.  It is my gift to this wonderful cause.
